Ferron Salniker is a food, style and culture writer with a focus on identity, origins and systems. She also curates and produces food and spirit events across the country. 

Ferron’s reporting has reporting has been published in the Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Life & Thyme, Whetstone and other California-based and international publications.

As an event producer and consultant she has also offered creative events, storytelling and strategy for brands and organizations. She is the producer of Mezcalistas’ Mexico in a Bottle, the largest mezcal tasting event in the U.S. and the co-founder of Hermanas de Mayahuel, which celebrates and supports female-identified people in agave spirits. She also covers the business of spirits as spirits editor for BevNet.

Ferron is from the Bay Area and has lived in Mexico, Chile and Istanbul. She studied Journalism and Spanish literature at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is from the Bay Area and is based in Los Angeles.
